Eric Salama, 41, to chairman-CEO of Kantar, WPP Group's information and consultancy business, from WPP's group director of strategy and CEO of wpp.com. He is succeeded by Mark Read, a former WPP executive and management consultant. Mr. Salama also steps down from WPP's board of directors and won't be replaced. Kantar is being reorganized to add WPP's brand consulting companies. Kantar's chairman, David Jenkins, is retiring.

Alberto Garcia, 55, to president and general manager of Omnicom Group's DDB Venezuela, Caracas, from country manager of Philip Morris Venezuela. He succeeds Rafael Vegas, who resigned in July.
