[Wolfsburg, Germany] Volkswagen's most senior marketing executive, Robert Buechelhofer, has left the German carmaker over disagreements about distribution systems. Mr. Buechelhofer, 60, was a member of the Volkswagen board and responsible for marketing and distribution in Europe and Asia. Volkswagen, the world's 10th largest advertiser, spends almost $500 million a year outside the U.S., according to Ad Age figures. No successor was named after Mr. Buechelhofer's surprise departure last week and a lengthy search is likely.
