Worldwide's Tokyo office beat Japan's top three ad agencies-Dentsu, Hakuhodo and Asatsu DK-in a four-way strategic and creative pitch to work with Disney Wonderland in Japan. The Omnicom Group agency and TBWA-owned Tequila will handle creative advertising and brand communication for Disney Wonderland. The budget, including strategic partners and online carriers, is estimated at more than $8.5 million. Disney Wonderland, set up in 2001, belongs to Walt Disney Co.'s Disney Internet Group. It hopes to bring a learning-based Disney experience into Japanese homes with an Internet game service for 3- to 12-year-old children in July 2003, then expand into South Korea, Hong Kong and mainland China.
