Unilever reviews France media biz

By Published on .

[paris] Unilever is reviewing its $135 million media account in France. Incumbent Initiative Media Worldwide, part of Interpublic, will pitch against WPP's MindShare and Aegis Group's Carat. Worldwide, MindShare handles 52% of Unilever's media billings and Initiative is responsible for 46%. In southeast Asia, Unilever shook up its roster agencies by consolidating $30 million in media planning and buying business in Malaysia and Vietnam with MindShare. Previously, in Malaysia planning was at Initiative and buying was split among three agencies; in Vietnam WPP's J. Walter Thompson Co. handled buying and four agencies split media planning.
