[Sydney, Australia] Virgin Money, the financial division of the U.K.-based Virgin Group, is taking the Virgin Credit Card introduced last year in the U.K. to Australia. An integrated campaign markets the card's unusual shape and benefits, including low interest rates, no annual fee and a rewards program, with the tagline "Shaping up credit cards." The card has one rounded edge and comes in a choice of five colors. TV, print, and radio ads from Publicis Groupe's iLeo will be supported by direct marketing. Richard Branson, founder and chairman of the Virgin Group, makes a cameo appearance in the TV spots as a plastic surgeon. The launch marks Virgin Money's first foray outside the U.K., building on the presence of Virgin Atlantic and Virgin Blue airlines, Virgin Mobile, and Virgin Megastores in Australia.
