Doria Morales Vega. No, not the N.Y. Lottery announcer, but for Y&R, hopefully, the harbinger of other good things to come. Last month, the agency's ECDs Ian Reichenthal and Scott Vitrone beefed up the shop's roster with the addition of three new creative directors, Icaro Doria, Dan Morales and Guillermo Vega, who Reichenthal simply describes as "nice people who happen to be incredibly talented."

The latter description, at least, is clear: Former Saatchi, N.Y. copywriter Doria in 2007 ranked at the top of our list of globally awarded copywriters, thanks to multi-honored work for JC Penney, Crest and Stuff It Deluxe. Vega most recently served as ECD at Y&R's Argentina office, also acting as creative director of the agency's Latin America region, which he will continue to do out of the New York office. Morales is an award-winning creative who's made stops at some of the industry's most reputed shops, including Cliff Freeman, where he earned the Grand Prix for the Traktor-directed Fox Sports campaign, Leo Burnett, Taxi New York and most recently, Mother London. Although it's not yet determined which clients each will oversee, "they'll bring their creative energy not just to individual accounts but to the agency as a whole," Vitrone says.
