Advertising Age's newest content partner is the leading Spanish-language portal Adlatina, a source of advertising news from Spanish-speaking Latin America and Spain.
Started in 2000 by Argentine-trade-press editor Jorge Martinez, the Buenos Aires-based company publishes a daily Adlatina newsletter with 70,000 subscribers, and a print magazine that is published seven times a year with a circulation of 10,000.
Adlatina is well-known for comprehensive coverage of the creative work and ad festivals entered by Latin American agencies and it compiles a prestigious annual ranking called Crema of the top 30 Latin American agencies, ranked by number of awards won. The company also maintains an archive of more than 25,000 ads from the region, and organizes the official Effie awards for Argentina. A separate portal, Filmlatina.com, is a directory of Latin ad film production.
Adlatina will publish stories from Advertising Age and Adage.com, and Ad Age will have access to all Adlatina content.
Adlatina joins two other Ad Age content partners in Latin America. Ad Age has worked with leading Portuguese-language trade publication Meio & Mensagem in Brazil for many years, and launched a regional Spanish-language publication in May with Costa Rica-based publisher Grupo Cerca called Advertising Age America Central y El Caribe.
