Droga5 Sydney Loses Aussie Shop's Founding Client VB Beer

Australia's B&T Reports Brewer CUB Is Consolidating Brands at Clemenger BBDO Melbourne

Published on .

Droga5's Australian agency has lost the high-profile VB beer account the agency opened the Sydney shop with in 2008, reports local trade publication B&T.

The business is moving to Clemenger BBDO Melbourne as part of an agency consolidation by parent company Carlton & United Breweries, known as CUB, Australia's largest brewer. CUB is part of Foster's Group, which SABMiller acquired in an $11 billion takeover at the end of last year.

Droga5's work on the beer brand over the past few years helped get the young Sydney creative shop talked about in Australia and around the world. Projects ranged from commercials about Real Men to the creation of chips to be eaten specifically with VB beer to a pop-up pub.
