News International today hired -- and fired -- an assortment of WPP Group agencies for its estimated $45 million account to handle media, advertising and strategy for U.K. newspaper brands The Times, The Sunday Times and The Sun.

The Guardian reported that the winners are WPP's Grey , OgilvyOne, Ogilvy Change and M/Six, a media-agency joint venture of WPP and WPP-backed creative agency CHI & Partners.

The losers are WPP's Mindshare and CHI, but they will recoup some of the business through the M/Six appointment.
