Continuing its efforts to support victims of the earthquake in Haiti, the Ad Council today launched a new TV spot starring celebrities appealing to Americans for support. The spot features Morgan Freeman, Jake Gyllenhaal, Tim McGraw, Julia Roberts, Meryl Streep and Reese Witherspoon. A Spanish-language spot featuring Eva Longoria will be available next week.

The 30-second spot, created pro bono by GSD&M Idea City, with talent coordination by Creative Artists Agency Foundation, asks viewers to visit the Red Cross online, call 1-800-HELP-NOW or text "Haiti" to 90999 to automatically give $10 to the American Red Cross.

This is the Ad Council's third PSA in support of Haiti earthquake victims. Earlier PSAs featured First Lady Michelle Obama and Presidents George W. Bush and Bill Clinton.

"We are so grateful to the many celebrities who immediately agreed to lend their support and voice to this PSA, and we thank the CAA Foundation for their help," said Peggy Conlon, president & CEO of the Ad Council, in announcing the new PSA. "We will continue to do what we can to support the Red Cross and others who are helping the victims rebuild their lives during this long-term relief effort."

In addition, Magno Sound & Video donated its services for PSA production, and DG-FastChannel Network and the AdSpot donated their help in digital distribution. The National Captioning Institute volunteered its closed-captioning services.
