As part of Mindshare's ongoing volunteer efforts with the nonprofit organization New York Cares, more than 30 Mindshare employees got together to work on the Family School in the Bronx last month.

As part of the Oct. 15 process, Mindshare volunteers painted classrooms and murals around the school, planted bulbs at the school's entrance and organized books for the fifth grade class.

Said Phil Cowdell, chairman of Mindshare North America, who joined the work team: "Our volunteer work with New York Cares demonstrates our ongoing commitment to the local community and diversity initiatives. I am proud of all of our employees who took the time to volunteer and improve the environment for students at the Family School."

Mindshare, part of WPP's GroupM, is a global media and marketing services network. New York Cares meets pressing community needs by mobilizing New Yorkers in volunteer service.
