Starcom USA's Chicago staff recently spent a day working to beautify the city as part of the Starcom Serves community service workday. On July 14, more than 450 agency employees volunteered to work in several neighborhood parks and forest preserves in partnership with Chicago's Friends of the Parks and the Alliance for the Great Lakes.

The staffers worked to restore and clean trails, planted shrubs, mulched trees and removed litter from playgrounds and beaches at Dunning Read Conservation Area, Dvorak Park, Jackson Park, La Rabida Beach, Montrose Beach and Park and Sherman Park.

This marks the fourth year Starcom USA has participated in a large-scale community service event. The agency previously partnered with such local organizations as the YMCA of Metropolitan Chicago, Youth Organizations Umbrella, Off the Street Club, Greater Chicago Food Depository and the Chicago Public Schools.
