Hearts & Minds: Jayson Atienza

Published on .

Jayson Atienza

By day he's an art director at BBDO, but in his downtime, Jayson Atienza creates beautiful "scrawl" imagery, which bears a childlike quality reminiscent of doodle art, but manifests more mature themes like those seen here. "Sleeping Beauty" "depicts the beautiful escape to freedom," he explains. "The display of erratic shapes highlighting one's presence shows power in one's ability to be anyone, be anywhere, and do anything while they dream in their sleep." "Heel Stretch" (above) "portrays success in the long journey. It's one thing to make it, but nothing says elegance and beauty more than a great pair of high heels."
