Hearts & Minds: Marian Bantjes

Published on .

Marian Bantjes

Canadian-born Marian Bantjes started out as a type-setter, made her way into graphic design, and, according to her website, now calls herself a "lapsed graphic designer." Nevertheless, she admits "this is largely untrue, but in my struggle to redefine myself it's helpful to cast off the old me in the search of the new." Her much lauded work is a beautiful reflection of this "confusion," boasting playful, organic and sometimes sensual illustrations borne from typography, or vice versa.
