NEW YORK (AdAge.com) -- Mike Alfonseca, 38, founder and chief creative officer of Kraneo, an independent agency in the Dominican Republic and a veteran of JWT, Leo Burnett and Young & Rubicam, will chair the jury for Advertising Age's 11th annual Hispanic Creative Advertising Awards. Other creative directors on the jury include Carlos Tourne, chief creative officer of Dieste, and Mauricio Galvan, president of Circulo Creativo and managing partner and executive creative director of Vidal Partnership. The jury also includes several senior marketers.
The final deadline for entries has been extended to May 18.
The interactive category will be judged by a separate digital jury that includes Miguel Angel Calderon, partner and creative director of Mexican digital agency Grupo W.
Ad Age conducts the awards in partnership with the Association of Hispanic Advertising Agencies, but agencies do not have to be AHAA members to enter.
Winners will be announced in a special report published in Ad Age and on AdAge.com on Sept. 21, and at a gala awards show in Miami on Sept. 18 at the close of AHAA's fall conference.
To be eligible, work targeting U.S. Hispanic consumers must have run for the first time between May 1, 2008, and April 30, 2009. Categories include TV, radio, magazine, newspaper, out of home, guerrilla marketing, interactive ads and websites. This year a new category for Branded Entertainment (found under the TV category in entry form) has been added.
