Six Shops Chase 4-Year $28 Million Contract

SAN FRANCISCO (AdAge.com) -- The California Lottery has narrowed the review for its four-year, $28 million Hispanic advertising account to six agencies.

The California-based contenders are independents Acento Advertising, Los Angeles; Al Punto Advertising, Tustin; Castells & Asociados, Los Angeles; Omnicom Group's Dieste Harmel & Partners, San Francisco; Grey Global Group's WING Latino Los Angeles; and the incumbent, Interpublic Group of Cos.' Casanova Pendrill, Costa Mesa.

Presentations are scheduled for Feb. 28 through March 3, with an announcement of what's termed the "apparent winner" scheduled for March.

The contract calls for annual media spending of $7 million for four years, with an optional extension of two additional years.
