Clint Stinchcomb, a 11-year Discovery Networks veteran, has been tapped as senior vice president and general manager for Discovery HD Theater,™ the company's new 24-hour high-definition network. Stinchcomb's purview will also cover responsibility for Discovery's on-demand television offerings. Stinchcomb, 36, replaces John Ford, who left the post in February.

Showtime's president of programming Jerry Offsay will leave the premium cable network at the end of the year after a 10-year stay. He informed network CEO Matthew Blank last year of his intent to leave the network after his 50th birthday in 2003. Offsay will be involved in selecting a successor.
