After over two decades in the cable TV business, the final five as CEO of Comedy Central, Larry Divney revealed that he would be retiring. According to published reports, it is expected that current USA Network President Doug Herzog will return to Comedy Central as Divney's replacement. This would be Herzog's second stint running the Viacom network.

Tom Gutteridge has been tapped as CEO of FremantleMedia North America, a new post. Gutteridge, who is starting immediately, was formerly the group creative director of U.K.-based indie TV production outfit, The Television Corporation. He'll be based in Los Angeles and report to Catherine Mackay, FremantleMedia's regional CEO, USA, Australasia and Asia. Fremantle's U.S. unit is responsible for Fox's "American Idol."
