Bob Osher has been named chief operating officer at Columbia Pictures Motion Picture Group. Osher was most recently co-president of production for Miramax Films. In his new post, he will oversee business affairs as well as production for the studio. Osher will report to Sony Motion Picture Group chairman Amy Pascal.

Kaye Popofsky Kramer has been tapped by Nielsen Entertainment to fill the newly created post of VP-online research at the company's Nielsen NRG unit, focusing on market research for movies as well as their trailers and ads. Popofsky Kramer, a former UTA agent, was most recently the president of a nonprofit organization, Step Up Women's Network.
