The Sundance Channel has given the greenlight to an eight-episode documentary series called “Nimrod Nation,” which revolves around a small Michigan town's obsession with its high school basketball team, the Nimrods. The idea was conceived by director Brett Morgen (“The Kid Stays in the Picture”) and Kevin Proudfoot (of Weiden & Kennedy). FremantleMedia and Weiden & Kennedy Entertainment are producing the series. | Kasil Jeans has hired BWR PPI to oversee product placement for the premium denim brand. A division of BWR Public Relations, the Los Angeles-based company has also handled product placement, brand integration, promotions and partnerships for such brands as Grail, Fidelity Denim, Butterfly Dropout, Rebel Yell, Geoff Thomas Designs, O'Neill, Rip Curl and Gary Scott USA.
