Volvo Car Corp. is readying an encore of its global "treasure hunt" in partnership with Walt Disney Co.'s coming installment of the third "Pirates of the Caribbean" film, arriving in theaters Memorial Day weekend. This year, the Ford Motor Co.-owned brand said it sunk a treasure chest filled with $50,000 of gold doubloons and the key to a new Volvo XC90 SUV. Volvo will reveal more information about its online treasure hunt May 3 and invited consumers to register at volvocars.us/thehuntsignup for "virtual high-seas adventure." Last summer's online treasure hunt for a buried Volvo XC90 V8 drew more than 100,000 participants from around the world. Volvo said it expects this year's hunt to be bigger, as more countries are participating and the booty is bigger. -- Jean Halliday
