Ford Motor Co., which is in the midst of its second revitalization plan since 2002, has inked a deal with "American Idol" winner Kelly Clarkson for upcoming Ford division advertising that will break in May, the head of WPP Group's JWT, Detroit, confirmed. George Rogers, president of JWT, said he was unable to confirm whether a customized song was written for the effort. The Ford division, the automaker’s largest, will also shift its car ad theme from "Built for the Road Ahead" to "Bold Moves." The brand's longstanding "Built Ford Tough" tagline for its trucks remains unchanged. The automaker is also planning to produce a reality show in which contestants work with Ford designers to design and produce a new concept car.
