Susan Spencer has been named head of national promotions for DreamWorks Animation Consumer Products. Ms. Spencer will be responsible for the strategic development and implementation of national promotions for the studio’s animated and live-action films, home video and TV, as well as product-placement efforts. She reports to Anne Globe, head of worldwide consumer products and promotions for DreamWorks Animation. Ms. Spencer recently served as vice president for local sales and marketing at Universal Studios Hollywood. She was also executive director of national promotions, feature film licensing and merchandising at Fox Consumer Products. Ms. Spencer replaces Wendy Ryding, who is re-locating to the East Coast. | Universal Studios Partnerships has promoted Syd Smith, Jamie Stevens and Janice Trojan to senior vice president. They continue to report to Stephanie Sperber, executive vice president of Universal Studios Partnerships. As senior vice president of business development, Ms. Smith handles development of Universal Studios’ global corporate partnerships and home entertainment promos, while Ms. Stevens oversees strategic development, creation and sales of Universal Pictures domestic promotions. As senior vice president of corporate sponsorships, Ms. Trojan leads global activation for Universal’s strategic partners including Chase, Coca-Cola, Kodak, MasterCard, Nestle Waters and Volkswagen.
