UPP Entertainment Marketing, Burbank, Calif., has inked an exclusive two-year deal to represent Peavey Electronics Corp., a maker of musical instruments and professional sound equipment, in all areas of product placement. UPP also reps North Face, Motorola and Lexus. | ABC's "Brothers & Sisters," "Betty the Ugly" and "Notes From the Underbelly," as well as NBC's "Friday Night Lights" and the CW's "Runaway" are the five upcoming prime-time series that were backed by the Family Friendly Programming Forum, a coalition of blue-chip advertisers that helps fund the development of family-oriented programming for the broadcast networks. The pickups are a record for the organization. Its other shows coming back for the 2006-07 season are "Gilmore Girls" and "Everybody Hates Chris" on the CW. | Demetri Martin, a regular on Comedy Central's "The Daily Show," will appear in 10 online video segments on Microsoft's MSN, as part of a campaign to promote the upcoming launch of Windows Vista.
