Former Sony Pictures marketing executive Lee Dollar has joined ReelzChannel as VP-studio and content development. In the position, he will oversee the satellite and cable channel's relationships with studios, filmmakers and advertisers in developing themed content across theatrical, DVD, and pay-per-view windows. ReelzChannel, a network about movies, will launch Sept. 27 to 28 million homes. As VP-worldwide promotions for Sony Pictures' Columbia TriStar Marketing Group, Mr. Dollar brokered the integration of Mercedes-Benz in "Men in Black II" and multimillion-dollar marketing tie-ins with Coca-Cola, Best Buy, Kraft and Cingular around other films. | ABC's new season of "Dancing with the Stars" will feature the "Slim-Fast Dance Challenge," sponsored by the dietary supplement maker, in which a mother trains with a ballroom dancer while trying to lose weight. Her progress will air as part of the series' weekly results show each Wednesday. | In an effort to launch its new line of espresso makers in the U.S., Krups has produced "Espresso Films," six short films created by film students at New York University that run 60 to 90 seconds long. The Espresso Shorts are being distributed on espressoshorts.com, YouTube and Video Google and other websites. Krups will also sponsor the 2007 Sundance Film Festival.
