Dairy Queen will sponsor a task on NBC’s The Apprentice that focuses on the company’s signature Blizzard brand. The episode airs Oct. 13. As part of the effort, Dairy Queen will launch a national promotion to search for a DQ Blizzard apprentice. The winner will receive $50,000 in cash, trips to Hawaii and Los Angeles and a role in a TV spot. | Intel and online entertainment site AtomFilms have launched the Intel Indies Film Contest (http://intel.atomfilms.com) that awards a winner $45,000 in cash and gear for the best four-minute short that imagines what a filmmaker would do with a magic wand. The deadline for submissions is Nov. 21, with the winner announced in January.
