Chrysler Group is talking to Warner Bros. Pictures about a possible deal tied to its big-screen adaptation of The Dukes of Hazard, due for release sometime next year, said Julie Roehm, director of marketing communications for the Dodge, Jeep and Chrysler brands. Despite the return of the TV show's orange 1969 Dodge Charger, nicknamed the General Lee, a deal would be a no-brainer for Chrysler, which has already announced it will bring back the Charger muscle car next year as a 2006 model sedan. The show's Daisy Duke character (to be played by Jessica Simpson in the film) drove a Jeep in the show, while Uncle Jessie (Willie Nelson) is known for his truck, both of which would provide Chrysler with prominent placement opportunities. In the series, however, the pickup was a 1970s Ford F-series.
