Walt Disney-owned network ABC has signed a new sponsor for Extreme Makeover: Home Edition. Ford Motor Cos.' truck division will join title sponsor Sears in supporting the show. The marketers’ products are integrated into what is fast becoming one of ABC's top shows. Ford is understood to have fended off rival sponsorship offers from other auto companies. For the week of Sept. 20-26, the reality show ranked 10th most popular in the age 18-to-49 category and pulled in 8.9 million viewers. Ford executives were not immediately available for comment.
