Commercial Alert, a Portland, Ore.-based nonprofit consumer watchdog group backed by Ralph Nader, last week filed a complaint with the Federal Trade Commission and Federal Communications Commission, charging that TV networks are deceiving the public by failing to disclose paid product placements.
