Advertising groups, under the banner of the Freedom to Advertise Coalition, weighed in last week, calling the requests of Ralph Nader's Commercial Alert for better disclosure of product placement in TV shows "ludicrous" and "radical." In letters to both the Federal Trade Commission and the Federal Communications Commission, the coalition warned that the group's demands, if met, would make programming "virtually unwatchable."… Interscope Geffen A&M artist Puddle of Mudd will be promoting its sophomore album "Life on Display," set to drop on Nov.25, with Verizon Wireless, which will be sponsoring the group's tour.
