Igor Muravyov, president of the Cambridge, Mass.-based company, said ePropshop's connotation was too narrowly centered on product placement and that Magnetic Alliance better reflects the dynamism of the space, pointing to the new videogaming offering as an example. "It's a market that all of our clients are extremely interested in," said Muravyov. "They're requesting we include it in the database and [we're obliging]."

Muravyov said that he is also expanding his sales force to generate new revenue. He said that he would be taking on an unnamed former Hollywood studio marketing and promotions exec as a contractor to lead the charge in this area.
Another offering that Magnetic Alliance is mounting is a new software tool that will "allow clients a way of managing and organizing their entertainment marketing initiatives through the entire lifecycle, instead of just offering them a database of contacts and opportunities to get them started."
