Radio Rater Postpones People Meter in Some Cities
The New York Times reports that Arbitron has delayed a wider rollout of a contentious new system for measuring radio audiences, prompting sighs of relief from some New York radio stations. Arbitron's new measurement method, called the personal people meter, met with staunch opposition this month when a test showed steep declines for several radio stations catering to younger listeners and minorities.
