Forbes Turns Page: Bono, Partners Push Change at Media Dynasty
The New York Post reports on growing whispers around New York City and media circles from coast to coast about the Forbes family and its media empire as it sells off its longtime headquarters building in Greenwich Village and its helicopters and pulls the plug on unprofitable titles. It appears the deal with Elevation Partners, which counts U2 frontman Bono among its principals, will result in the Forbes media dynasty ending with the sale of the company -- or an initial public offering of at least a sizable stake in the company.
