Hulu Could Catch YouTube This Year: Report

Wired notes that YouTube may be the largest video site on the web, but Hulu may be more profitable. While YouTube monetizes an estimated 3% of its video inventory, Hulu monetizes 100%, according to a LiveRail report. The upshot: Hulu could make as much in domestic ad sales this year as YouTube. (Here's the logic: Analysts expect YouTube to generate around $100 million in domestic sales, while Hulu is expected to book $90 million in domestic revenue.) Of course, if you count the other $100 million YouTube is expected to generate in international revenue, YouTube is the clear sales winner.
