CUNY J School Professor and media pundit Jeff Jarvis proposes a new structure for struggling papers: give up international reporting, increase investigative and beat reporting, cut back on editors and production staff and hire a network of bloggers to do breaking news reporting. He also asserts that Pro Publica has been criticized for working with CBS' "60 Minutes" and not newspapers (who could really use the help).
