Mr. Clark, who is currently the CEO of Group M Europe, Middle East and Africa, will be charged with expanding the agency's presence globally while identifying new markets for growth opportunities.
Plans for growth
"A big geographic priority for us is to strengthen our business in the larger and more developed markets in Western Europe," Mr. Clark said. "And in the U.S., where we think there's a terrific growth opportunity."

"Kelly is a true global executive, with strong operating and client management experience in Europe, Asia Pacific and North America. This experience, and his passion for working hands-on with clients, makes him well-suited to deliver a new Maxus vision around the world."
Mr. Clark will be based in New York and report to Mr. Gotlieb.
"There are clients in categories with a heavy focus on addressable media," Mr. Clark said. "And we think there's an opportunity to put all of our investments in the areas of response-driven media and one-to-one communications to use with a much greater focus to bring a new and different type of client to Group M. It's very early in our thinking, but together with Irwin Gotlieb and some of the other development people, we're focused on nailing that offer and turning that into something we can take to those clients."
Maxus, Mindshare, MediaCom and Mediaedge:cia are the four global media agency networks within WPP's Group M.
