IVillage Sales Chief Takes Over NBC Universal Digital Media Sales

Peter Naylor Has Sold Online Ads for 15 Years

NEW YORK (AdAge.com) -- Peter Naylor yesterday was named head of NBC Universal Digital Media Sales. Previously the senior VP-sales for iVillage, which NBC Universal acquired in May, Mr. Naylor has 15 years of digital media sales experience, and in this newly created position, he will oversee all company-wide digital media sales for NBC Universal.

Mr. Naylor will report to Beth Comstock, president-NBC Universal Digital Media & Market Development, and Keith Turner, president-NBC Universal Sales and Marketing.

"Peter's extensive experience in the digital media world complements the experience our existing team has in the more traditional media arena, as well as what we've learned in creating integrated solutions for our clients," Mr. Turner said in a release.

Mr. Naylor, 40, joined NBC Universal's digital media sales team through the iVillage acquisition, which became part of NBC Universal's digital media unit. He has also worked for Terra Lycos, Wired Digital Interactive and for advertising sales departments in both magazines and radio stations, and is a board member of the Internet Adverising Bureau and the Online Publisher's Association.

IVillage is a women-oriented website about beauty, love, health, fitness and entertainment that is now a subsidiary of NBC Universal and an important part of its online presence. Mr. Naylor oversaw the sales team and partnerships for the company.

"We are obviously very committed to expanding our business into the digital world," an NBC Universal spokeswoman said. Ms. Comstock in a release said Mr. Naylor is will play a key role in NBC Universal's expansion into digital media.
