NEW YORK (AdAge.com) -- Longtime media executive Jack Haire will return to his print roots after a four-year stint in digital. Parade Publications has named Mr. Haire CEO, succeeding Walter Anderson, who is retiring July 1.
The announcement was made today by Si Newhouse Jr., chairman of Advance Publications, which owns Parade as well as Conde Nast.
"Jack is an experienced executive who has a deep understanding of both print and digital media," Mr. Newhouse said in a statement. "He is very well-respected in the advertising and publishing communities and will be a great partner to Parade's advertisers and newspaper publishers."
Mr. Haire spent nearly three decades at Time Inc., most notably as exec VP-corporate sales and marketing, before a 2005 reorganization forced him to abandon that post. For the past few years he has guided companies including CNet Networks on their advertising and distribution strategies.
