MPG Officially Names Francoli as CEO

Has Handled Duties at Media Network Since September

NEW YORK ( -- Maria Luisa Francoli, a longtime executive of Havas' media operations, is the official CEO of global media network MPG effective today. Ms. Francoli, 45, has handled CEO duties since last September, when the former CEO, Alfonso Rodes Vila, was named to a new post leading Havas Media, an umbrella unit whose executives oversee all of Havas' media companies.

As network CEO, Ms. Francoli oversees the growth of MPG's network in both geographic expansion and expanding its service offerings. Prior to this job, she led the company's Media Planning Network, the largest division of MPG.

Joined in 1993
She joined MPG in 1993, working in corporate development responsible for new markets and business development. Four years later, she established MediaContacts, the company's interactive network. She was named CEO of Media Planning Network in 2003.

Born in Barcelona, Spain, Ms. Francoli launched her professional career in the U.S., starting in the travel industry, then moving to banking, prior to joining MPG.

Havas Media, now being run by Mr. Rodes Vila, includes specialized communications unit Arena; B6 Integrated Entertainment, a branded-entertainment company; Havas Sports, a sports-marketing firm; MPG; and the online and digital network MediaContacts.
