In this newly created position, Mr. Rocco will be responsible for "cultivating new-business opportunities and fostering existing sales and marketing partnerships for OMG companies," according to Omnicom. He will report to Jill Botway, president, OMG's U.S. Strategic Business Units.
Buying and selling stints
"Having worked closely with Omnicom Media Group from the other side, Tom is already quite familiar with the management and operations within the organization," Ms. Botway said in a statement. "We're confident that he will be a strong addition to the company, helping to continue our momentum of growth and business development."
Mr. Rocco's experience bridges both sides of the media-sales world with stints at CTN Media Group, Discovery Communications, NBC Television Network and ABC Radio Network on his resume.
