NEW YORK (AdAge.com) -- The 2008 Ellie winners, competitors during the ceremony, gathered afterward to show off their new hardware.

Mr. Carter asked the crowd to forgive him if he drooled as he accepted Vanity Fair's Ellie for profile writing; he said he'd had an emergency root canal the afternoon of the ceremony.

NEW YORK (AdAge.com) -- (left to right) "30 Rock" stars Lonny Ross, Judah Friedlander and Katrina Bowden presented the Ellie for Leisure Interests at the 2008 National Magazine Awards presented by the American Society of Magazine Editors. Mr. Friedlander described his own leisure interests during the presentation. "I've been into medium core porn recently," he said.
