Where You Should Have Been Last Night

The Garden at Rockefeller Center and the Four Seasons

NEW YORK (AdAge.com) -- Yay! It's Upfront Week! That means shrimp, Scotch and celebs. Who was around last night? Well, NBC rolled out its golden girl, Tina Fey, former "Friend" Matthew Perry and the dealing Howie Mandel, and media buyers and marketers were allowed to line up to get their grip and grin with them to impress the folks at home.

Also in attendance was Jeff Goldblum, who's fronting the police drama "Raines," as was "My Name Is Earl" star Jason Lee, who took the time to take a picture with NBC President Jeff Zucker and his wife, Caryn. That was the scene at the Rock Plaza summer garden, where attendees of the Radio City Music Hall presentation funneled out to mingle and eat. The scene was a rather typical media-company-entertains-advertisers one, which may be why folks soon vacated for the glammier fete William Morris Agency was throwing across town.

One has to travel east from Rockefeller Center to get to the Four Seasons, but once one arrived it was clear that this was a West Coast bash. Actor Kevin Spacey was somewhere in the crush, along with producer of the moment J.J. Abrams, who's currently got out a major motion picture ("Mission Impossible III" baby!) and a prime-time hit, "Lost." Watercooler was told that Carmen Electra was there, but we didn't see her, although many of the women there seemed to be trying to be Carmen Electra. Ben Silverman, producer of "The Office" and the "Biggest Loser," was also working the room.

New Yorkers brushing shoulders with this crew included "The View's" Joy Behar and adman/talk-show host Donny Deutsch. Even Jeff Zucker made the trek.
