NBC is feeling lucky about its new one-hour drama, "Las Vegas," starring James Caan and launching this fall. It's produced a rare three-minute music video for the show-with Brian Setzer singing a new version of "Luck Be A Lady"-to run as an in-theater commercial for the month of September. It's all part of NBC's deal with Regal Cinema's 20-minute Digital Cinema Network to provide entertainment content.

"It's challenging for us to come up with these longer pieces," says Vince Manze, co-president of The NBC Agency, NBC's in-house marketing and advertising agency. At a later date, smaller versions of the video will air on NBC before the start of the TV season.

The video features Mr. Caan, who plays a Las Vegas casino security chief, co-star Nikki Cox blowing on dice, and people cheating in casinos. As part of the deal, NBC has given Mr. Setzer the Las Vegas footage to put in his music video for his upcoming CD release.

"We came up with a great piece of music to get the feel of the show," Manze says. "What I'm trying to do is breakthrough."
