CBS is introducing a commercial-free option for its direct-to-consumer service.
For $9.99 a month, CBS All Access subscribers will be able to watch on-demand content sans commercials. It's live programming will still include advertising.
The new tier will give subscribers access to CBS's library of 7,500 episodes, including full seasons of primetime shows like "Blue Bloods," "Madam Secretary" and "The Odd Couple," as well as other late-night, daytime and news programming, without commercials.
CBS All Access originals like "Stark Trek: Discovery," "The Good Wife" spinoff and digital eidition of "Big Brother" will also be available commercial-free with the $9.99 plan.
"The foundation of CBS All Access is not only about giving CBS fans access to more of the content they want, but also giving them more choice in how they watch their favorite CBS programming," Marc DeBevoise, president and chief perating officer, CBS Interactive, said in a statement. "The addition of a commercial-free plan gives our subscribers even more ways to customize their CBS viewing experience -- from which devices to whether they watch in or out of the home, and now with commercials or without."
Those who subscribe to the $5.99 per month plan will continue to experience reduced commercial loads when watching on-demand content and can watch CBS Classics without commercials.
CBS All Access currently has about 1 million subscribers, CBS CEO Les Moonves revealed during the company's earnings call last month.
