Today in MediaWorks TV -- our recurring series of enlightening and entertaining (OK, mostly just entertaining) video clips of interest to media people -- we're presenting the latest ad from Stephen Colbert's Super PAC.

Now that Colbert is exploring a presidential run, he has placed his Super PAC under the control of Comedy Central colleague Jon Stewart and renamed it The Definitely Not Coordinating With Stephen Colbert Super PAC.

Its new ad rips Mitt Romney and Newt Gingrich for their negative campaign ads, declaring that "We deserve better." And then, intoning over a quick-cut barrage of apocalyptic imagery, the ad's folksy announcer makes a promise:

Donate today and we'll destroy both these guys and their super PACs with a merciless ad torrent so fierce they'll wish they'd never been incorporated -- an orgy of pure distortion leaving nothing behind ... but the clean campaign we all deserve.

You can donate (seriously) right here.
