NBC's continued struggles in prime-time are putting the network's other assets under more pressure. Case in point? The network's long-running "Today" program. The show continues to generate millions of dollars in advertising support, but as ABC's "Good Morning America" has gained on "Today's" once-untouchable ratings , NBC News bosses haven't been able to sit still.

After a year as co-anchor and a week of rumors, Ann Curry told viewers this morning that she will not be back on Friday. She will be moving on to produce news stories for several NBC News outlets, but the pressure felt by NBC's daytime and late-night properties is likely to continue until the network can develop programming to aid "Sunday Night Football' and "The Voice," its two main draws.
