Dish Network is putting a spin on its commercial-skipping technology for the Super Bowl.
Instead of automatically skipping commercials, AutoHop will let customers instead skip the game and only watch the ads.
The "Reverse AutoHop" feature will take away the hassle of having to fast-forward through the game or search online the next day to find the commercials receiving the most buzz, Vivek Khemka, senior VP-product management, Dish Network, said in a statement.
"We have several clients running Super Bowl ads this year, and Dish's creative technology means more people will see those ads," Bill Koenigsberg, president, CEO and founder of Horizon Media, said in a statement. "Making these entertaining ads 'appointment watching' after the game puts the brands front and center for an even wider audience."
The "Reverse AutoHop" feature will be available the day after the Super Bowl to skip the game and watch commercials back-to-back. Hopper customers must have the Prime Time Anytime feature enabled for NBC prior to the game.
There is also the option to re-watch the game.
