former chief exectuive, received $2.6 million in an out-of-court settlement, ending a legal battle between Mr. Dunning and Ziff Davis Media and its financial backer, Willis Stein & Partners, Ziff Davis Media said.

The dispute had included claims of breach of contract, age discrimination and allegations of financial wrongdoing.
