The New Releases here ran on TV for the first time yesterday. Among the new releases, we've got an underwhelming batch of last-minute holiday hard-sells from Walmart, JC Penney and Overstock.com -- which we're going to basically ignore in favor of calling your attention to the touching Apple ad that tops the Most Engaging portion of our chart (Creativity made it an Editor's Pick on Monday) as well as the Doritos "Cowboy Kid" ad that originally appeared during Super Bowl XLVIII. Doritos apparently hopes to whet your appetite for the two new spots it's set to air during the next Super Bowl by putting this funny vintage ad (if a barely year-old ad can be called vintage) into heavy play on BET, MTV and other networks.
