Hasbro relaunches its Rubik's Cube this summer. The puzzle, first unveiled in 1980, is the official sponsor of 14 Minor League Baseball teams across the U.S. A promotional tour visits each team's city throughout the summer, offering prizes and the chance for kids to have photos taken with team mascots. Gruner & Jahr's Fitness sponsors a nationwide sampling effort of Crunch fitness clubs on May 31 and June 1, offering a free one-day club pass in the magazine's June issue. Gift bags from magazine advertisers will be offered to participants, and magazine editors will be on hand at clubs in major cities.

BusinessWeek branches into apparel in a special "Dress Smart Business" issue appearing Sept. 15, co-branded with fashion authority Chic Simple, New York, providing tips to readers. This is the first U.S. fashion section for the McGraw-Hill magazine. BusinessWeek will also issue its second European stand-alone Fashion Week supplement this fall; the issue will be promoted at fall fashion events.
